Grandfather Ivan enjoyed 89 abounding harvests and then generously passed his knowledge and love for wine-growing to his daughter, Veronika Krsnik, who took over the entire estate in 2002.
Doppler is now in the capable hands of Mihaela, the granddaughter of Ivan Dopler, who has inherited her family's love and enthusiasm for wine-growing. Wine-growing is not only her work, it is her life. When Mihaela took over the responsibility tat Doppler, she chose to further develop the estate and immensely enjoys the new wine-growing challenges. She is supported by the the selfless help of her entire family. They are currently growing vines on 9 beautiful hectares and would be happy to bring their excellent wines to your homes.
The Doppler Estate is located1250 feet above sea level between the Šentilj hills and the beautifull Pesica valley. Your heart will sing when you will visit us from the beauty here.
In 1815, the Order of Benedictines from Admont established this wine estate on 38 hectares of the Pesnica hills. They kept it in their possession and produced wines until 1938, when Ivan Dopler bought the estate.
Ivan Dopler came from a wine-growing family and to him winemaking represented not only a means of livelihood, but also an indescribable satisfaction and fulfillment of his life’s dream.
